MiCA requires the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) to keep a register of authorised CASPs, crypto-asset white papers, token issuers and non-compliant entities. Until its IT system is ready, ESMA publishes this as an interim register of downloadable files.

The register can lag behind national regulators. VASPnet recorded 16 new authorisations between 25 and 30 June 2026, before ESMA's register reflected all of them. It also covers MiCA-authorised firms only, so it shows nothing about a counterparty's status outside the EU.
